Working pattern: 37.5 hours per week (£25,000 per annum)

The Admissions & Enrolment Officer plays a key role in supporting student admissions, enrolment, and administrative processes at Kings Hall College. The role ensures an efficient, professional, and welcoming experience for prospective students, from initial enquiries through to enrolment. The postholder will also provide administrative support to the Operations Director and liaise with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

 

About Kings Hall College

We are a brand-new college looking to do things differently.  We offer year-round English programmes including general English, business English and exam preparation.  Our courses are enhanced by a varied, stimulating extra-curricular programme which extends students learning beyond the classroom and allows them to form lasting friendships with classmates from around the world.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Admissions & Enrolment

  • Handle all student enquiries, providing accurate information about courses, fees, and entry requirements.
  • Process applications, ensuring all necessary documents are received and verified.
  • Issue offer letters and confirmation of enrolment documents.
  • Maintain accurate student records and databases.
  • Assist students with visa applications and compliance with immigration regulations, where applicable.
  • Support open days, induction sessions, and enrolment events.

Administrative & Financial Duties

  • Process student payments, deposits, and refunds in accordance with college policies.
  • Maintain accurate financial records of student fees and liaise with the Finance Department.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and external regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with generating reports on admissions and enrolment statistics.

Student Support & Customer Service

  • Act as a first point of contact for prospective and current students.
  • Provide guidance on admissions policies and processes.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Work closely with the Accommodation, Enrolment & Welfare Officer to support student welfare needs.

General Duties

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including academic staff and senior management.
  • Maintain confidentiality and data protection in handling student information.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in admissions and enrolment procedures.
  • Carry out any other duties reasonably requested by the Operations Director.


Essential Criteria

  • Experience in admissions, enrolment, or administrative roles in an educational setting.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using student management systems and office software (e.g., MS Office).
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

 

Desirable Criteria

  • Knowledge of UKVI regulations and visa compliance processes.
  • Experience in handling financial transactions and student records.
  • Understanding of safeguarding policies within an educational setting.
