Homestay: Reside With a Homestay Host in Greater Manchester

 

A Comforting Experience

Reside with a friendly homestay host in Greater Manchester and improve your English language skills in a natural environment. Homestay accommodation at Kings Hall College provides students with a unique cultural experience to enhance their English language skills.

 

Homestay Options

Standard2 meals (breakfast and dinner) on weekdays. 3 meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) on weekends.
Twin Room2 meals (breakfast and dinner) on weekdays. 3 meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) on weekends.
En-Suite2 meals (breakfast and dinner) on weekdays. 3 meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) on weekends.
Self-CateringStudents will provide their own food whilst living with the host.

 

Location

Hosts are situated a 15- to 45-minute journey from our school. Transport hubs via train, bus, or tram are all located a 1- to 5-minute walk from our school.

 

Cultural Immersion

Practise your English fluency outside of the classroom environment. Learn about British culture and traditions from our hosts.

 

Safe & Welcoming Hosts

Our hosts are inspected to British Council standards, so you can be sure that you will be treated as a member of the family by sharing meals and common living areas with them.

 

Comfortable Living

There will be no more than four students living with one host at a time. Students who share a common native language will not reside with the same host.

 

Cleaning & Laundering

It is common to launder once a week in the U.K. Homestay hosts will launder once per week and provide you with clean towers. Please ask your host when the best time to launder is.

 

Homestay Cancellation Terms & Conditions

Before Arrival:

  1. If homestay accommodation is cancelled more than 4 weeks before arrival, a £70 booking fee will be charged.
  2. If homestay accommodation is cancelled less than 4 weeks before arrival, 2 weeks of homestay accommodation will be charged plus a £70 booking fee.

After Arrival:

  1. Students who have booked homestay accommodation who intend to leave their homestay accommodation must give at least two weeks’ notice to cancel their accommodation. Students will not be refunded for any additional accommodation fees paid that exceed the two-week notice period.
  2. Refunds for homestay accommodation fees may be claimed up to one calendar year after the course start date stated on a Student Invoice, Agent Invoice, or Offer Letter. No refund may be claimed after this period.
