Who Is This Exam For?
The TOLES exam stands for Test of Legal English Skills. It is a specialised English exam designed to measure how well someone can understand and use English in a legal context.
The TOLES exam tests students’ ability to:
- understand legal vocabulary
- read and interpret legal contracts and documents
- use commercial and legal terminology correctly
- understand real-world legal scenarios

The TOLES exam can be taken online at Kings Hall College.
